SkillUp Bangladesh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (Ansar-VDP) to introduce a Japanese Language Learning Program for members of the force, marking an important step toward skills development and global employment preparedness.The MoU signing ceremony was held on Thursday, 15 January 2026 at the Ansar VDP Headquarters. The initiative aims to provide structured Japanese language education to Ansar VDP members, enabling them to strengthen their professional skills and prepare for future employment opportunities in Japan.The MoU was signed by Mr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, BVM, PVMS, BVMS, Deputy Director General (Training) of Ansar-VDP, and Mr. Abul Monzur Morshed, Director of SkillUp Bangladesh.The signing ceremony was also graced by the presence of senior officials from both organizations, including Mr. Md. Moinul Islam, Director (Project & Training), Mr. Amlan Jyoti Nag, Director (Finance); Mr. Foyzul Bari, Deputy Director (Project & Training), Ansar-VDP and Ms. Fahmida Ahmed, Program Manager, SkillUp Bangladesh.SkillUp Bangladesh is a skills development and consultancy organization committed to building globally competitive human resources for the international labor market. Through this partnership, members of Ansar-VDP will receive Japanese language training under SkillUp’s management and guidance. The program is designed to help participants develop the language proficiency, practical readiness, and professional competencies required to access opportunities in Japan’s labor market.This partnership reflects a shared commitment to workforce development, self-reliance, and international career advancement. It is expected to create new pathways for Ansar-VDP members by enhancing their employability and supporting their participation in overseas job markets.The Japanese Language Learning Program is also expected to contribute to broader national goals of skills development and overseas employment by preparing trained and capable individuals to meet global labor market demands.

This move comes under the visionary leadership of the Director General as part of the force's "Sanjiban Project" to bolster overseas employment opportunities.Key Details of the Program:Inauguration: Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP, officially inaugurated the program via an online ceremony from the headquarters today, January 22, 2026.Duration: The intensive 90-day training course is scheduled to run until April 21, 2026.Strategic Partnership: On January 15, 2026, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with "Skill Up," a specialized skill development and consultancy firm, to provide expert instructors for the course.Scope: A total of 200 trainees are participating across five centers—Ansar-VDP Academy, Khulna, Chattogram, Bogra, and Rangpur—with 40 trainees at each location.Highlights from the Director General’s Speech:A Unique Curriculum: The Director General described the curriculum as a "hybrid and exceptional" training system, differing fundamentally from traditional military training. Advancing Toward International Employment

Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (Ansar–VDP) has officially launched a Japanese Language Training Program for its members as part of a broader initiative to prepare them for employment opportunities in the international labor market. The program has been introduced under the force’s Sanjiban Project to strengthen overseas employment initiatives and enhance workforce readiness.The training program was inaugurated online on Thursday, 22 January 2026, by Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party, from the Ansar–VDP Headquarters. The 90-day program will continue through 21 April 2026.This launch follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 15 January 2026 between Ansar–VDP and SkillUp, a skills development and consultancy organization dedicated to building human resources in line with international labor market demands. Under the agreement, SkillUp is responsible for delivering the Japanese language training through its experienced instructors.A total of 200 Ansar–VDP members are taking part in the program at the Ansar–VDP Academy and four training centers located in Khulna, Chattogram, Bogura, and Rangpur. Each center is hosting 40 trainees. The program is designed to provide practical Japanese language instruction to help participants build the communication skills and professional readiness required for employment in Japan and other international markets.In his inaugural remarks, the Director General described the initiative as a hybrid and distinctive training model that goes beyond the force’s conventional training framework. He noted that the program is structured as an intensive, residential, and practical language learning initiative. He also encouraged trainees to continue practicing Japanese outside the classroom through regular conversation and the use of audio-visual learning materials to accelerate language acquisition.Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud stated that creating employment opportunities in phases for the nearly three crore people connected to the force, in addition to its 60 lakh members, remains a strategic priority. He further announced that following completion of the program, the Ansar–VDP Welfare Trust will support trainees in pursuing higher-level Japanese language certification by contributing toward examination fees.Emphasizing the importance of effective implementation, the Director General called upon the relevant officials and staff to ensure close supervision of the training activities. He stated that, alongside maintaining law and order, the force must continue to fulfill its broader responsibility in contributing to the country’s socio-economic development. He further remarked that the true success of the initiative would not be measured merely by certificates, but by the participants’ ability to understand and communicate fluently in Japanese upon completion of the training.The Japanese Language Training Program is expected to significantly strengthen the professional capacity of Ansar–VDP members and improve their competitiveness and acceptance in the international labor market. Over the long term, the initiative is anticipated to contribute to the expansion of overseas employment, the export of skilled human resources, and the socio-economic advancement of members of the force and their families.
